Not as common as black or grey, but just as beautiful. In my opinion a blue chalkstripe suit works best if it’s a fabric on the heavier side, preferably with some cashmere in it like this suit from Borrelli. Borrelli suit, shirt from Isaia, Calabrese tie, ps from Poszetka and shoes from Crockett & Jones. Click on the headline for more pics.
If I look slightly uncomfortable it’s because I am. La Bise (the northern wind) that hits Geneva sometimes during the winter months arrived with a vengeance yesterday and continues today. Really cuts through the bones. Realised afterwards that this became a very Cucinelli-esque fit with natural colours and few patterns. But I’m actually only wearing one small piece from Cucinelli. Jacket from Sartoria Partenepoea, William Lockie cardigan, Finamore shirt, tie from Vila Milano, Brunello Cucinelli ps, pants from Borrelli and chukkas from Paraboot. Love the donegal flecks in this cashmere/silk tie from Loro Piana. Jacket from Pal Zileri, Zegna shirt, Loro Piana tie, ps from Poszetka, Berg & Berg pants and shoes from Edward Green. Click on the headline for more pics.
A sober, office friendly fit. Pics were taken a few weeks ago when the weather was warmer. Suit and shirt from Zegna Couture, Errico Formicola tie, Shibumi ps, Dunhill shades and shoes from John Lobb. Click on the headline for more pics.
Dressed to put the tie in the center of attention. Belvest suit, bespoke shirt, tie from Drake’s, Borrelli ps and shoes from Alden. Click on the headline for more pics.
