Even if the tie and ps are French, and the shoes are American, I would describe this as a very British look with the Savile Row cut suit and the penny collar pink shirt. Don’t share the British love for pink shirts, but I really like this one and it’s Royal Oxford fabric. Fallan & Harvey suit, Rayner & Sturges shirt, tie and ps from Boivin and Allen Edmonds shoes. Linen sc, pants and tie, thin cotton shirt and a silk ps. Jacket from Montedoro, Isaia shirt, Finamore tie, ps from Vanda and Incotex pants. Click on the headline for more pictures.
The sun is back in Geneva so time for fairweather clothes. The knitted silk tie is the first one I’ve tried from Cordone 1956, a small company based in Aielli not far from Rome. Further north in Italy you find another small town, Cerreto Guidi (close to Florence) which houses Buttero, in my opinion the maker of the world’s finest sneakers, like these in woven suede. The linen jacket is from Morris, shirt from Drake’s, tie and ps from Cordone, Incotex pants and Buttero sneakers. Click on the headline for more pictures.
Wearing a suit in a so called “fresco” fabric (highly twisted fabric with an open weave, usually light wool). These fabrics are very airy and suitable for warmer weather. But the weather in Geneva right now is really hot so even fresco wool is really too warm. The suit is from Eidos Napoli, Drake’s shirt, Attolini tie, Shibumi ps and shoes from Crockett & Jones.
