Diplomatic Ties 469: HN White
Last day in Stockholm for some time. Tomorrow I’m off to a new posting in Brussels. Rainy and windy, but so is Brussels as well today. Maiden voyage for a new tie from HN White, a brand that continues to convince me. This one is an Irish poplin (the spot on the tie in a couple of the pics is just rain). Suit from LBM 1911, bespoke shirt, tie from HN White, Poszetka ps and shoes from Carmina. Scent: Nicolaï Parfumeur New York Intense.

Suits for Adults
Used to think that Brioni with their fuller cuts, structured jackets and marked shoulders were old fashioned. Suits for old men. Quite like them now. Is it because fashion is changing, or am I getting old? Suit from Brioni, bespoke shirt (CYC), Borrelli tie, ps from Poszetka and shoes from Alden. Scent: Heeley Cardinal.

Suit Anniversary
I bought this suit 20 years ago. I had recently got a decent and steady job and for the first time in my life I had money enough to at least start thinking about some of my sartorial interests. I was on a business trip in Montreal when I stumbled over a shop called L’Uomo (or Via Uomo at that time). They had a sale so I went in and was greeted by very friendly and competent staff who didn’t mind explaining things to the young man with an interest but very little knowledge.
