A Traditional Cut

Maiden voyage for a new suit from Sartoria Scuderi (based in Cura di Vetralla, north of Rome). A fuller cut in both jacket and pants, combined with medium padded shoulders. A classic look which seems to be on it’s way back and hopefully we will soon see the extremely slim cuts with short jackets finally disappear. Lovely fabric from Zegna’s Heritage line (inspired by old fabrics in Zegna’s archives, mainly from the 30s), which suits the style perfectly. Suit from Sartoria Scuderi, Zegna Couture shirt, tie from Formicola, ps from Cucinelli and John Lobb shoes. Click on the headline for

Natural Colours.

If I look slightly uncomfortable it’s because I am. La Bise (the northern wind) that hits Geneva sometimes during the winter months arrived with a vengeance yesterday and continues today. Really cuts through the bones. Realised afterwards that this became a very Cucinelli-esque fit with natural colours and few patterns. But I’m actually only wearing one small piece from Cucinelli. Jacket from Sartoria Partenepoea, William Lockie cardigan, Finamore shirt, tie from Vila Milano, Brunello Cucinelli ps, pants from Borrelli and chukkas from Paraboot. Coat from Mackintosh/Fox Brothers, jacket from Arnys, Drake’s shirt, Attolini tie, ps from Brunello Cucinelli, Berg & Berg pants and shoes from Alden. Click on the headline for more pics.

A casual fit today. I usually don’t post casual fits because I made a choice to focus more on formal menswear, but of course I wear casual clothes as well. Luigi Bianchi jacket, shirt from Bleu de Paname, Brunello Cucinelli ps, pants from Jaggy, Adidas/White Mountaineering sneakers, scarf from RRL and Moscot shades. Click on the headline for more pics.
