The Longest Bench

One of the world’s most useless sights is in Geneva. The (supposedly) longest bench in the world. Don’t know if it really is and, more importantly, don’t care. But it was a nice day, one of the last winter days since warmer weather has already arrived. Jacket, shirt and tie from Drake’s, ps from Poszetka, Berg & Berg pants, Red Wing boots, Jonathan Richard paperboy cap and a scarf from Ralph Lauren Denim Supply. Last days of the winter holiday. Spent a snowy day visiting the famous Château de Chillon outside of Montreux. No explanation was given for the slightly creepy effigy on the way to the castle. Maybe they have occult sacrifices here. Jacket from Arnys, Drake’s shirt, tie from Howard’s, Calabrese ps, Berg & Berg pants and Red Wing boots. Click on the headline for more pics.

Christmas Attire

Spent christmas in the Berner Alpen in Switzerland (in a village called Mürren, famous because it was the location for the Bondmovie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service). I’m shamelessly using the scenery overlooking the Lauterbrunnen valley to enhance my fit. But it was what I actually wore for christmas eve, lots of greens and reds. Tweed jacket and corduroy pants from Bladen, polo from Faherty, Drake’s scarf, Monitaly cap and boots from Red Wing (Ice Cutter). Click on the headline for more pics.

Corduroy is still associated with autumn and winter, even if you today can find very light corduroy fabrics suitable for spring/summer as well. Jacket from Hackett, Oscar Jacobson shirt, Cappelli tie, Borrelli ps, Berg & Berg pants, scarf from Luciano Barbera, Tusenö watch and Red Wing boots. Click on the headline for more pics.
